Play date!

Last Sunday, Kristin and I had the pleasure of babysitting our neighbor's, Laura and Bill's, daughter Abby. She and Brett had so much fun as you can see from the video. In fact, Abby can come over anytime because she was great playing with Brett and a good influence with her calm demeanor. It was fun seeing them "share" toys! Unfortunately, the weather was a little rainy so we mostly stayed inside. Tonight Brett and I went to check out the live music in Chelsea. He's still not too sure about the loud bands but he had fun people watching, who doesn't!

Bath Time....in the morning

Brett is doing great! He and Kristin came to visit me at work today. We took him out to the volleyball courts and he got to play in the sand for the first time and loved it! He was running the sand through his hands and making paths in it. I have to get on building him a sandbox. I can still remember how much I loved mine when I was a kid. Currently, it is hard to keep him sitting because he wants to lunge forward on his hands. Were guessing crawling in a month or so. Can't believe he is almost 7 months!

Hello Again

A busy weekends for Brett and family this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday we had friends come over. Weather was cool and the bugs weren't out! I forgot to post the picture above. The two talented Binghams' Tonight we added some little toys in Brett's bath and he went crazy playing with them. Tomorrow Kristin and Brett are going to the park again to hang out with some moms from her mother/baby group.

Missing my family

Sitting in the Denver airport and I am missing my family. Looking forward to spending the morning with Brett and Kristin. The other night Brett slept from 8pm to 5am. I think that was the longest ever! Although, I get sick of people asking about his sleep habits like it is a sign of a good parent. I actually just read that only 1 in 6 babies at 6 months regularly sleep through the night. We've made it this far with his waking up 1-4 times a night so it should only get better. Can't believe how much he has started to roll around. We sit him up and he starting to slowly fall forward and then rolls around. It's pretty entertaining. I think we have established Brett loves the outdoors. Kristin took him to the Metro Park today to meet some friends and he loved it. Apparently, he was leaning forward in his stroller the whole time watching the bikers and roller bladers. Here's some more pics from WI:

Long Time No Blog

Well, it's been awhile since I posted but things have finally settled down a little bit. We had a great trip to WI over the 4th of July holiday seeing many relatives in a week's span. Brett was a great traveler and only really wanted out of his car seat the very tail end of our trip (I don't blame him). Whether it was hitting the pool for the first time, getting his face licked by my brother's dog Bode, meeting his 2nd cousins, or getting presents for his 6 months birthday.....Brett had a great visit. Hopefully, we can plan to do this every Summer! I'll post some more videos and pictures from our trip tomorrow.
