Schools.... Out.... For the SUMMER!

If you read the title, you know what song is stuck in my head...ha! We are proud to say that Brett finished Kindergarten with flying colors and will be off to FIRST GRADE at the end of the summer! Go Brett! Overall, he really had such a great year, and we owe so much of that to his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Ryan. She was energetic, upbeat, and positive, and was able to find and focus on the strengths of each child. That's what I call a good teacher! His reading and writing soared this year, and he is at or above grade level in every subject. According to his teacher "Brett is an active participant, follows classroom rules, and works well in both small and whole group settings". We are very proud of our big boy and look forward to next year!!

Now it's time to live it up and enjoy SUMMER!!

7 months!!

Can you believe it? This smiley boy really is 7 months old now!! He is such a happy baby and loves life so much!! He is now sitting up, rolling across the room to get where he wants to go, eating like a champ (loves all of his baby food and has started eating puffs), reaching up for us when he wants to get picked up, loves to be tickled and play with is big brother, and is so close to crawling. He has also started making "mama" and "dada" sounds, and babbles and talks like crazy. When he is excited, he waves his arms up and down and giggles. He is learning new things every day and continues to melt his mommy and daddy's hearts :-) As much as we look forward to new milestones, I am definitely not ready for this baby stage to be over. He is growing up too fast already!

Uncle Casey's Wedding!

A couple weeks ago was Uncle Casey's wedding to Aunt Jess in Wisconsin! Kyle was a groomsmen and Brett was the ring bearer :-) My boys (big and small) don't get dressed up often, but when they do...wow, you better watch out! Here are some pics from the beautiful day!

I wasn't able to take any pictures during the ceremony because Camden needed to eat....so I'm hoping for some good ones from the professional photographer! All the kids did amazing and were so darn cute!!

I couldn't help but take a few more pictures afterwards though :-) I may not be in any of these, but the professional did take one of the family which I can't wait to see!

After the ceremony, we all stopped at a bar for a drink with the bride and groom (a Wisconsin tradition) and then headed to Tyrol Basin, a ski hill that Casey used to work at, for the reception! They even had the chair lift open for scenic rides up and down the hills! Such a cool idea and beautiful venue!!

Brett and Lily were off running around and playing the whole night. They had so much fun!

I bought a really cute outfit for Camden, similar to the one Brett was wearing....Khaki pants and a white Gap collared shirt (see above pics). Well, that outfit lasted about an hour before he spit up all over it and had to be changed! Here he is in his new, DRY outfit, happy as a clam :-) He is so laid back and just went with the flow the whole night.

One of Kyle's aunts is a balloon artist so she entertained the kids half the night with her talent! As you can see, Brett sure loved his creations, and was in no hurry to end the night! Ha!

We had such a wonderful weekend celebrating a wonderful couple!! Welcome to the family, Jess!!
