Family Pictures Fall 2016

A few weeks ago we had some family pictures taken at Hudson Mills Metro Park. Originally I had signed up for a 9am slot, thinking that the boys would do best first thing in the morning when everyone was feeling refreshed and ready to go. Then, acouple days before our photo shoot, I checked the weather, and although it was suppose to be a beautiful day, it was going to be pretty cold in the morning and wasn't going to start warming up until early afternoon. I quickly messaged Kayla, our photographer, and asked if by chance she had any opening later in the day....and she did! The only downfall? Her only slots available were noon and 3pm, basically the time frame of Camden's nap! Now that Camden is a little older, we can usually hold him off a little bit, especially if we are doing something fun, so we went with the 12pm appointment, and hoped for the best. Both boys did awesome for the first few shots.......but unfortunately, it didn't take long for Camden's almost 2 year old self (these were taken in mid October before his birthday) to start getting irritable and just wanting to do what HE wanted to do. And then there was Brett. He was all ready to take some great pictures, but then his brother wouldn't cooperate and man did that frustrate him! Fortunately, Kayla is a pretty great photographer so she was able to work some magic and still get some amazing shots of our crazy boys :-) Below are some of my favorites!

These boys have my heart. Love them so much!!

We tried so hard to get Camden to smile in this picture......but no luck. Still pretty cute though :-)

Love this one!

Now for the hard part.....which ones do I frame?

Fall Fun!

Fall has always been my most favorite season (and Kyle's too!), so most evenings and weekends are spent outside in the crisp autumn air, enjoying everything this time of year has to offer. Donuts, apple cider, pumpkins, and falling leaves bring so much joy!

Earlier in October, we made our annual visit to the Dexter Cider Mill for donuts and apple cider....yum! The bees were fierce this year, so we gobbled up our treats quickly and then headed down to the river to explore!

Another fall tradition is going to Alber's Orchard in Manchester to pick pumpkins, run in the hay maze, and buy yummy apples! One of my favorite things about this place is that it never gets too crowded and there is lots of space to explore!

Candid shot of my handsome boys on the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch :-)

Camden was toddling so quickly through the field, it was hard to get any good pictures of him!

He was so happy and proud when he found this little pumpkin that he could carry himself!

Love this shot of Brett!

I was there too! ;-) Thanks for including me in the pics, Kyle!

Nature shot.

This face. I just want to freeze time sometimes!

Another candid.

Both boys loved saying hi to the cute bunnies!

Running in the hay maze is always one of the best parts!!

Love my silly pumpkin heads!

And lastly, no trip to Alber's is complete without some pictures near the apple! Brett has it down...but Camden? He needs a little work ;-)

Peek-a-boo!

I grabbed this shot as fast as I could since he was off again in .5 seconds!

Another fall favorite? Playing in the leaves!!

Where's Camden?

Fall is not only an amazing time of year because of what nature has to offer, but also because it is the ignition of so many fun celebrations....Halloween, Camden's birthday, Thanksgiving, Brett's birthday, and CHRISTMAS! Ahhh, so much excitement in the air!!
