We've been having lots of fun this summer and below are some highlights caught on camera! :-)
A few weeks ago, Brett went to his very first summer camp at the YMCA in Ann Arbor! I couldn't believe how many camps there were to choose from, basically one for any kid out there! Brett has really been interested in learning about different animals lately, so that is the one we signed him up for. He did awesome and looked forward to going every morning and came home with a smile at the end of each day. They did crafts, met and learned about different animals, swam in the pool, and on the last day, rode the bus to Domino's Farms Petting Zoo! He is already looking forward to the next camp....a Dinosaur one in August!
Since the YMCA is so close to Kyle's work, he often met us there at pick up time to say hi or have lunch with us. One day, we decided to have a family picnic at the park nearby. We all had a great time just hanging out together.
Kyle had Thursday and Friday off during the week of the 4th, so one of those days he took Brett to his very first Tiger's game! They were both so excited and looked so cute in their baseball hats :-) Brett only lasted for about half of the game, but it was definitely worth if for the experience! I think his favorite part might have been all the junk food he got to eat - ha!
Then on the fourth, we went over to the Klink's house to celebrate the holiday and Norah's 4th birthday! After dinner, play time, cake, and present's, we drove to Gregory for the fireworks! I forgot to take pics of the fireworks, but got some other fun moments on camera :-)
Happy Baby!! Camden loved all the action!!
Selfie with my big boy!
The awesome 4th of July cake made for Norah's birthday!! Yum!!
"How old is Norah?"
"Cheese!"
Love this pic of the little's eating up their cake!
Carolyn looking like a diva in my sunglasses - ha!
Camden clapping in excitement. Life is just so fun!
Our first 4th of July as a family of FOUR!
Building and creating with Legos is still one of Brett's most favorite hobbies.....so Summertime Lego Club is a must!
Camden was able to get in on the action too....with Duplos!
And here is Brett and his finished product...on display now at the library!
I love how Brett is talking so sweetly to Camden in this picture! Melts my heart!
This past Friday some friends joined us at the Dexter Library for a Dinosaur presentation by "Paleo Joe", a real Paleontologist! The kids learned all about different dinosaurs and saw fossils from that time period. Afterwards, we all walked to A&W for lunch and then played by the river at the park. Definitely a fun day!
Waiting patiently (at this moment anyways!) for their lunch :-) Albert and Greta were there too but sitting on the other side.
Climbing on the rocks by the river...something I loved doing as a child too!
As usual, Camden was happy as could be and loved watching the big kids play! Next year, I'm sure I'll be holding him back from diving in himself!
These are just some of the fun things we've done recently and I can't wait to do more....summer is the best!
