Wisconsin Part 2!

We also spent a lot of time with grandpa and grandma Bingham while we were in Wisconsin. Kyle and his dad took Brett to the lake one day and I decided to stay back with grandma and just relax in the air conditioning. Other than the lake, we were inside quite a bit. My mom had packed up some of my brother's legos from when he was a kid, so Brett enjoyed playing with those A LOT, along with all the other fun toys grandma and grandpa have :-) He really gets into playing these days and I just love watching him! He sets everything up just so (usually legos, race tracks, trains, trucks, etc) and his imagination takes off! Brett and grandpa bonded a lot this trip and anytime John wasn't in the room or went on an errand or something Brett would say "Where's grandpa? What is grandpa doing? I want to play with him!". It was so cute to watch them together and see Brett's face light up when grandpa was around :-) Grandpa even came up with a nickname for Brett while we were there..."Bare butt boy". When Brett goes potty he insists on taking off his underwear and shorts and usually doesn't care to put them back on - SO - much of the time he just runs around with his cute little naked butt showing. Needless to say, "bare butt boy" is quite fitting and we all thought is was pretty funny, including Brett :-)

When we needed a reprieve from the air conditioning, Brett loved catching the moths and butterflies in grandma's garden. Seriously, if it wasn't for the heat, he could have done this for hours!

The moths and butterflies were all over this garden!! I told Karen that she has her own butterfly garden :-)

We braved the heat for some fireworks on the 4th. Brett was cautious but enjoyed them immensely!

During one of the bigger fireworks Brett ran to the porch to watch from behind the railing :-)

The snaps were a big hit!! Brett loved throwing them on the ground and stepping on them!

The last night we were there Kyle's little brother Casey and his girlfriend Jess were able to come hang out. We had missed them so it was great to catch up and have some crazy fun together! That evening Kyle, his dad, Casey, and Jess went to a baseball game to cheer on the local team, The Rafters. This has become an annual tradition and we always have a blast. I chose not to go this year because it was way too hot and I knew Brett wouldn't last for the whole game. While they were at the game, I put Brett to bed early and then Karen and I watched Friends reruns. I forgot how much I liked that show! Then when the crew got home we had some drinks together and laughed. Good times!

In the morning Brett helped grandpa makes chocolate chip pancakes...YUM! 

And before we left, Brett had to catch "just one more butterfly" :-)

And I had to get this cute picture of Jess and Uncle Casey. Aren't they adorable?

We had a great time in Wisconsin and already miss everyone so much. I really wish they lived closer so we could see them so much more!!
