We have had a great start to our summer vacation, and one of our favorite adventures so far was going to Gallup Park last week! We go at least once or twice every year and love the nature more than anything!
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by these beautiful ducks who were more than happy to eat the bird seed we brought for them!
We then sat down to eat lunch and were entertained by this....construction trucks everywhere, digging up the old playground to prepare for a new one! Both boys were captivated....
Camden was so enthralled, he barely ate any of his bagel....
...while Brett was all smiles and could barely contain his excitement for the day!
We eventually moved on to feed more ducks and explore!
I had to watch Camden like a hawk because more than once, he tried to get in the river with the ducks! This one keeps me on my toes, that's for sure!
Love this shot of both boys sitting quietly for a moment. They were watching for the chipmunks that insisted on stealing the bird seed from the ducks! They were quick and very brave!
We then walked over the bridges and along some of the paths. Camden loved running and hiding behind the trees!
While Brett, just like me, could've watched the wildlife for hours.
Along the way, we spotted this mother duck and her babies....so of course we had to stop to feed them!
Camden must've been getting tired at this point because he actually sat still for a few minutes!
On our walk back to the car, the boys found this bench to sit on. Wait, let's be honest, BRETT found this bench to sit on, and since Camden insists on doing everything his big brother does, he climbed up too. Love these two so much and the bond they share!!!
