Vacation Part 2: Visiting the Point Betsie Lighthouse!

One of our favorite activities up north is visiting the Point Betsie Lighthouse and beach! There are tons of beautiful rocks to look through and collect, and of course our true mission is to come home with a Petosky Stone! Legend has it, that if you find this precious stone,  you will be back again next year. Unfortunately we didn't find one of our own, but we did buy one in the store. That counts, right?

The beautiful waters of Lake Michigan glistening in the golden sun....a postcard come to life!

The boys loved playing in the sand and finding rocks!

Kyle takes the hunt for petosky stones seriously and is always so bummed when he doesn't find one. Next year, honey!

I love finding rocks too!

The day could not have been more beautiful!!

See where Camden is pointing? He was excited because he found all these "rocks". Well, after he pulled them all out with his hands, I looked closer and realized they weren't rocks after all......he had gotten into a pile of dog poop!!! Seriously, who does that? Thank goodness the lake was close by to clean up!

Below was my attempt at a cute picture of my boys together. These are the two best shots I could get!

Notice how there is big space between them? Brett was in a mood and didn't want to sit any closer. Atleast he is smiling though, right? And I do love how Camden's hands are on his knees :-)

For some reason, Brett kept looking at Kyle....probably because he kept yelling at him to smile and sit closer to his brother! I still love these pictures though because they capture the moment as it was :-)

A rare photo of (mostly) just Kyle and I :-) Love you!

As were were leaving the beach,  Camden endearingly put his hand on his big brother as he led the way out. Those are moments that melt my heart!
